Structural Designer / Technician

Now hiring a Structural Designer to join a trusted consulting engineering firm with a wide variety of projects across the commercial, industrial, agricultural, and specialty structure markets.

We’re looking for a Structural Engineering Designer/Technician who thrives on technical accuracy, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in bringing projects to life through high-quality design documentation.

What You’ll Do:

As a key member of an integrated design team, you’ll help develop structural drawing packages that bring ideas to reality. From early schematic layouts to detailed construction documents, your expertise in Revit and understanding of building systems will support projects that are efficient, safe, and structurally sound.

Responsibilities:

• Create and modify structural drawings and models using Revit and other drafting software
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet design goals, schedules, and budgets
• Apply building knowledge to model structural systems accurately and efficiently
• Review and revise existing drawings to incorporate design changes
• Identify and correct drawing issues, inconsistencies, or missing information
• Follow CAD/BIM standards and best practices for quality output
• Participate in internal and external project meetings professionally
• Understand project scopes, schedules, and client expectations
• Support ongoing client relationships through consistent, timely, and professional communication
• Track and record your time accurately in our project management systemOrganize and file project documents, drawings, and emails appropriately

About You:

• Associate degree or technical certificate in architecture, engineering, drafting, BIM, or related field
• 0-5 years of structural engineering drafting and design experience
• Proficiency in Revit and an understanding of structural modeling techniques
• Familiarity with general building and construction practices
• Prior experience in structural engineering or building design is highly preferred
• Attention to detail, good communication skills, and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to manage your work independently while meeting deadlines
