Senior Structural Engineer (Industrial Focus)

Job Summary

Now hiring a Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural design and analysis for a variety of industrial projects, including oil and gas facilities, solar and wind energy installations, electric utility infrastructure, mining operations, and pulp and paper plants. The Sr. Structural Engineer will play a key role in project delivery, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring all designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client intent.

• Base Salary: $105,000 – $140,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Analysis: Lead the structural design and analysis of industrial structures such as process equipment foundations, access platforms, pipe racks, tanks, and specialized structures for oil and gas, renewable energy, utilities, mining, and pulp and paper facilities
• Project Management: Oversee projects from concept through construction, including preparation of calculations, design drawings, and specifications. Manage project budgets, schedules, and client communications
• Technical Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians. Review and approve engineering deliverables to ensure quality and compliance with applicable codes and standards
• Site Support: Infrequently conduct site inspections, condition assessments, and construction administration activities to ensure adherence to design intent and resolve field issues

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Master’s degree a plus
• Minimum 5–10 years of progressive experience in structural engineering. Previous experience with industrial, oil and gas, renewable energy, utility, mining, or pulp and paper projects is a plus
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred a plus
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD, RISA), AutoCAD, and Revit. Experience with advanced modeling and simulation tools is a plus
