Senior Architectural Technician / Drafter

We are seeking a Senior Architectural Technician / Drafter to play a key role in the design and document development of custom homes. In this role, you’ll take initial design concepts and transform them into detailed drawings and documentation sets for every phase of single family residential projects. If you have experience creating the drawing sets for home projects, this is the opportunity for you.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop Detailed Drawings – Create comprehensive architectural drawing packages from initial design concepts, including permit sets, through construction documents.
• Ensure Accuracy & Compliance – Apply building codes, and construction best practices to ensure all plans meet regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Teams – Work closely with architects and contractors to refine designs and coordinate details.
• Incorporate Client Customization – Adapt designs to reflect client preferences, material selections, and site-specific conditions.
• Optimize for Constructability – Identify potential design challenges and propose solutions that enhance buildability and efficiency.

About You:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in residential drafting, with a strong background in technical design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the team.
