Your Focus:
As Director, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, team development, and long-term planning for a 20-person division delivering:
- Arc Flash Studies & Compliance (NFPA 70E)
- Electrical Safety Training
- Electrical Engineering & Design Services
- Field Services & Data Collection
You’ll:
- Lead the division’s business strategy, team performance, and service line expansion
- Coach and grow a manageable team of ~20 members
- Manage division P&L, forecasts, and resource planning
- Drive collaboration across design, training, and field operations
- Represent the division in key client and executive meetings
What You Bring:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in engineering, construction, or industrial services
- Demonstrated success leading teams, managing business operations, and driving results
- Strong executive presence with the ability to engage both internal teams and external clients
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, arc flash compliance, NFPA 70E, and electrical system safety
- A strategic mindset with hands-on execution ability
Preferred but Not Required:
- Degree in electrical engineering or PE license
- Experience in industrial manufacturing or plant services
- Familiarity with BIM, 3D modeling, or systems integration
- Business development or technical sales background
Location:
This role is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On-site leadership is essential to maintain team connection, operational oversight, and client responsiveness.
