This is an exciting new opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing civil engineering and land development firm specializing in a range of services, from preliminary site analysis and entitlements to detailed design and construction management.

We are hiring a detail-oriented and experienced Civil CAD Technician to join the Land Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality drawings and plans using Autodesk Civil 3D software. The Civil CAD Technician will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other technicians to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of land development projects.

What the Civil CAD Technician Will Do:

Civil 3D Design:

Create and modify 2D and 3D drawings for land development projects, including site layouts, grading plans, utility design, roadway design, and stormwater management systems.

Generate digital terrain models, volume calculations, and cut/fill analysis using Civil 3D.

Draft and produce detailed construction documents in compliance with local codes and regulations.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with project engineers and managers to understand and incorporate project specifications and requirements into drawings.

Liaise with external stakeholders such as clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies as needed.

Attend project meetings and provide technical input related to CAD design.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established CAD standards and best practices.

Review and update drawings to accommodate changes and enhancements.

Proactively identify and communicate potential design conflicts and propose solutions.

Civil CAD Technician Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a CAD Technician role, specifically in land development projects.
• Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D and familiar with other CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering concepts and land development practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
