Job Description:

Architectural Job Captain

Are you ready to have more say in your projects, more influence on your team, and more control over your day-to-day? If you’re feeling like just another cog in the machine, it may be time to join a firm that recognizes and invests in your full range of architectural talents.

We’re a well-established architecture firm with a 60-year history of success and innovation. With thousands of completed projects and a strong future ahead, we’re growing—and looking for an Architectural Job Captain who’s ready to step into a key role.

This is not a one-size-fits-all position. You’ll have the freedom to focus on what you love—whether that’s early-stage design, technical documentation, project leadership, or a mix of all three.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the production of drawing sets and project documentation
  • Coordinate design development through all phases of a project
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a supportive team culture
  • Take ownership of your projects and help shape their success

What You’ll Bring:

  • A degree in architecture
  • 3-10+ years of experience in architectural practice
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (SketchUp, Enscape, and Bluebeam a plus)
  • Strong understanding of how buildings go together and how to communicate that in a drawing set
  • Experience managing or mentoring a small team
  • Licensure is not required

Why Join Us:

  • Flexible hours and hybrid work options
  • A variety of project types—retail, civic, institutional, commercial, liturgical, and recreational
  • A culture that values autonomy, creativity, and balance
  • Enjoy client and team events, project site visits, and volunteer opportunities
  • Real advancement opportunities as our firm continues to grow
