Transportation Engineer / Civil Engineer

We are hiring a Transportation Engineer to support the design of roads and highways for counties and state Department of Transportation (DOT) projects!

What the Transportation Engineer Will Do:

• Building and nurturing relationships with existing and new clients to strengthen the public works portfolio.
• Leading roadway projects across varying complexities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Identifying and pursuing new opportunities in the roads & highways market.
• Guiding project teams, including mentoring fellow engineers, EITs, and technicians.
• Helping with proposal processes, managing project budgets, tracking staff utilization, and hitting financial targets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 7+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on highway or roadway projects
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, preferably in Minnesota
• Proficiency in roadway design using MicroStation and/or Geopak/ORD software
• Familiarity with MnDOT and Minnesota local agency specifications, design practices, and project assembly
