Senior Interior Designer

As a Senior Interior Designer specializing in healthcare and behavioral health environments, you’ll have the opportunity to join a passionate, innovative team dedicated to creating transformative spaces that inspire healing, comfort, and connection. In this role, you’ll be part of projects focused on healthcare and behavioral health facilities, bringing creativity and empathy to each stage. You’ll design spaces that support patients, staff, and families, incorporating evidence-based principles to foster healing and positivity. Working closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals, you’ll ensure every detail aligns with aesthetic, functional, and regulatory requirements. Your role will involve researching materials, furnishings, and layouts that are safe, calming, and compliant with healthcare standards, as well as engaging with clients to bring their vision to life in beautiful, functional designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to understand their vision and specific needs, translating them into beautiful, functional designs.
  • Design environments that support patients, staff, and families, incorporating evidence-based design to foster healing and positivity.
  • Research and select materials, furnishings, and layouts to ensure spaces are safe, calming, and compliant with healthcare standards.
  • Partner with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure the integration of aesthetic, functional, and regulatory requirements.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
  • 8+ years of experience and 3+ years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or similar interior design projects
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations, spatial planning, and material selection.
  • Passion for creating empathetic, healing spaces
  • NCIDQ certification or CID preferred
