Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with an interest in creating HVAC and plumbing systems in commercial or industrial buildings?

We are a multidiscipline consulting engineering firm (Structural, Mechanical, Electrical) dedicated to designing innovative mechanical systems for commercial and industrial buildings. As part of our team, you will contribute to the design and optimization of HVAC and plumbing systems that ensure comfort, safety, and sustainability. This role offers you the chance to work on complex projects, troubleshoot existing issues, and design new HVAC/plumbing systems.

The HVAC & Plumbing Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing efficient HVAC and plumbing systems tailored to meet specific project and client needs. You’ll play a key role in creating detailed plans and specifications, performing load calculations, energy modeling, and equipment sizing to ensure optimal system performance. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with architects, contractors, and other internal engineering teams for comprehensive project execution. Your problem-solving skills will be valued as you identify and resolve preexisting mechanical system issues, and design new solutions.

This position involves occasional site visits to monitor progress, review installations, and ensure that the systems are installed and functioning as designed. You’ll have the chance to apply your expertise in the field, assess system efficiency, and propose innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes. Staying current with industry standards, building codes, and new technologies is a crucial part of this role, as we are committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions for our clients.

About the HVAC & Plumbing Engineer:

  • Please have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Minnesota, additional states a plus
  • 10-20+ years of experience in HVAC and plumbing system design is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with commercial and/or industrial building projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to collaborate in multidisciplinary groups
