What the Field Electrical Designer Will Do:
- Work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and construction teams to ensure the successful implementation of electrical designs on-site.
- Conduct field observations and inspections to gather accurate data for design adjustments and problem-solving.
- Provide on-site support during the installation and commissioning phases, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Identify and resolve on-site construction issues promptly, coordinating with the design team as needed.
- Prepare and manage documents needed for project construction administration.
- Attend and participate in construction meetings to ensure project alignment and progress.
As a Field Electrical Designer, you’ll collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and construction teams to ensure successful construction of commercial electrical systems. You will be instrumental to ensure everything stays on track and adheres to the construction documents.
About the Field Electrical Designer:
- A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical design, or a related field.
- Construction Administration or coordination experience on the job site.
- Over 2 years of experience in electrical design, with a preference for field experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
Ideally, you’ll have some experience both on the design side and in the field. Your understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and construction administration means you’re a perfect fit!
